Information and Accreditation documents
The AFF requires confirmation of information for Fencers, Coaches and Officials. This confirmation is provided by the member via the JustFence system. The information on this page covers the Certificates currently available in JustFence for members to provide.
Community Coaching Essentials Skills
Coaches can provide evidence they have completed the Australian Sports commission Community coaching Essential Skills course. This is one of the mandatory requirements for a coach, and must be renewed each 4 years.
Proof of Australian Citizenship document
This certification is used to provide evidence of a members eligibility to represent Australia at an international level. Can be one of the following documents:
- Australian Passport, current or expired
- Australian Birth Certificate
- Australian Citizenship Certificate
SIA - Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction
This is an Sports Integrity Australia (SIA) course required for some levels of Coaches. It is available from the SIA e-learning portal available at https://www.sportintegrity.gov.au/what-we-do/education/elearning-course-overview.
SIA - Annual Update
This is an Sports Integrity Australia (SIA) course required for some levels of Coaches. It is available from the SIA e-learning portal available at https://www.sportintegrity.gov.au/what-we-do/education/elearning-course-overview.
This needs to be completed each 12 months.
Proof of International Association / Federation Membership
This certification is for international fencers coming to Australia to compete in Australian Tournaments, to advise they have current memberships with their home Association/Federation.
Working with Children Check
This is for members to provide evidence they have a current Working with Children clearance. This is known as different names in each state, however it is required to be provided by all Coaches, Referees, and other officials undertaking work for the AFF.
SIA - National Integrity Framework

SIA - Competition Manipulation & Sports Gambling
This is an Sports Integrity Australia (SIA) course required for some levels of Coaches. It is available from the SIA e-learning portal available at https://www.sportintegrity.gov.au/what-we-do/education/elearning-course-overview.
First Aid Certificate
Coaches can provide evidence they have completed a First Aid course (one course from HTLAID010 through to HTLAID015). This course needs to be refreshed each 3 years.
Personal Information Verification Document
This certification is used to verify a members personal details. These details need to be verified before some services, including event entries, can be purchased. It can be any of the following documents:
- Members passport, Australia or international, current or expired
- Members birth certificate, (in English), Australian or international
- Australian Visa
- any official document which has the members name and date of birth
Working with Children additional Agreement
This document accompanies the coaches working with children document. It contains a list of item the coach must agree to in regards to working with Children. This document is available in the coaches information and is required to be electronically signed and provided for coaches.

To upload a document, please follow the following step in JustFence:
- Select My Profile
- Select Profile
- Select Credentials
- Select Add Credentials
- Select the document you wish to add, and complete the fields.
