Working with Children Additional Agreement Credential
What is the Working with Children Additional Agreement Credential?
The Working with Children Additional Agreement Credential is a mandatory requirement for coaches and accompanies the AFF Working with Children Credential.
As part of the AFF's commitment to child safety and wellbeing, coaches must review and agree to a range of child protection obligations and responsibilities. These requirements are set out in the Working with Children Additional Agreement, which must be electronically signed and submitted to the AFF.
This credential forms part of the coach accreditation process and helps ensure that coaches understand and agree to the expectations placed upon them when working with children and young people in fencing.
Why is this Credential Required?
The agreement reinforces important child safeguarding principles and requires coaches to acknowledge their responsibilities in relation to:
- Child safety and wellbeing
- Professional conduct and boundaries
- Reporting concerns and incidents
- Compliance with AFF safeguarding policies
- Maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for participants
Completion of this agreement is a mandatory requirement for obtaining and maintaining AFF coaching accreditation.
How Long is the Credential Valid?
The Working with Children Additional Agreement is linked to your current Working with Children Check (or equivalent state/territory clearance).
The credential will expire on the same date as the Working with Children Credential that supports it.
Whenever a new Working with Children Check is submitted and verified, a new Working with Children Additional Agreement must also be completed and submitted.
