Proof of International Association / Federation Membership Credential
What is the Proof of International Association / Federation Membership Credential?
The Proof of International Association / Federation Membership Credential is used by international fencers who are visiting, residing in, or competing in Australia while representing a country other than Australia.
This credential provides evidence that the fencer holds a current membership with their home fencing association or federation and is eligible to compete under that country's representation.
Why is this Credential Required?
The AFF requires international fencers competing in Australian tournaments under the representation of another country to provide evidence of their membership with their home fencing association or federation.
This allows the AFF to:
- Verify the fencer's current membership status.
- Confirm the country the fencer represents.
- Ensure eligibility requirements for international competitors are met.
- Maintain accurate participant records for national competitions.
Information Required
The document provided must clearly show:
- The fencer's full name.
- The country or federation they represent.
- The level or type of membership held.
- The membership expiry date.
The information may be provided through a membership card, membership certificate, official letter, membership portal screenshot, or another official document issued by the fencer's home association or federation.
