What is the Personal Information Verification Credential?

The Personal Information Verification Credential is used to verify a member's personal details within JustFence and is required for any person wishing to participate in an Australian Fencing Federation (AFF) national tournament.

Accepted Documents

You may provide any one of the following documents:

  • Passport (Australian or international, current or expired)
  • Birth Certificate (Australian or international, in English)
  • Australian Visa
  • Any official government-issued document that clearly shows the member's:
    • Name
    • Date of birth
    • Gender

Only one document is required, provided it contains the information needed to verify your personal details.

Privacy and Security

Documents submitted as part of the Personal Information Verification Credential are used solely to verify the personal details recorded against your membership.

Once the verification process has been completed, the uploaded document will be removed from the system. The AFF will retain only the verification status necessary to confirm that your personal information has been verified and will not retain copies of identification documents beyond the verification process.

The AFF handles all personal information in accordance with its privacy obligations and applicable Australian privacy requirements.

How to Upload Your Document in JustFence

  1. Log in to JustFence.
  2. Navigate to Profile → Credentials.
  3. Select Add Credential.
  4. Choose Personal Information Verification Document.
  5. Upload a clear copy of one of the accepted documents. 
  6. Save your submission for verification.

Verification Process

Once your document has been uploaded, the AFF will review and verify the information provided. After verification, the credential will be recorded against your profile, allowing access to services and activities that require verified personal information.

Before You Submit

Please ensure that:

  • The document is clear and legible.
  • Your name, date of birth, and gender are visible on the document.
  • The details on the document match your JustFence profile.
  • You upload a complete copy of the document, including any pages containing relevant information.
