Celebrating women in fencing with a new initiative

The AFF has a proud history of being an inclusive sport where men and women enjoy equal access to training, competition, officiating and management at all levels.

International Women’s Day 2020 is the ideal moment to announce an initiative aimed at increasing participation by women in our sport. We think all women and girls need to know how great fencing is – the more the merrier.

Operations Manager Dr Caitlin Fox-Harding is the driving force behind this initiative and welcomes all interested people to review the attached working group terms of reference and consider getting involved.

Expressions of interest to join the working group should be submitted to operations@fencing.org.au by 5.00pm AEDT Tuesday 31 March 2020.

At a minimum, expressions should contain the following:

  • Name of applicant
  • Member state of the applicant
  • Best contact details
  • A short biography or interest statement
  • Members will be appointed to the Women in Fencing Working Group to 31 December 2020
