Evelyn Halls – Recieves OAM Honour

The AFF wishes to congratulate Evelyn Halls on receiving the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the General Division in the Australia Day 2024 Honours List.

Evelyn has received the honour for service to sports administration, and to fencing.

As many will know Evelyn from being a fierce competitor on the piste, her off piste life demonstrates Evelyn carries the same commitment to all she does and is involved in.

Australia was lucky to have Evelyn serve as President (2016 – 2019) during her time on the board, as she continued to drive the sport of fencing forward in Australia.

It is a great honour to have a member of our fencing community involved in the pinnacle of Australian sport, the Australian Olympic Committee.

Listed below is many of Evelyns’ accomplishments, which has led to her receiving this honour, an honour only a few can claim to have attained.

Well done Evelyn from the AFF and Australian Fencing Community.
