Nominations for the 2023 Asian Veteran Championships
Nominations are now open for fencers who wish to be selected to participate in the 2023 Asian Veterans Championships, to be held in Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE from 6 to 9 September 2023.
For the individual events there is no limit on individual entries, you will be entered into your event(s) based on your nomination.
For the Teams events, each country can enter two teams in each gender / weapon category (teams must satisfy a minimum aggregate age requirement). The selections for the teams will be based on the AFF selection policy, with a selection date of the 20 July 2023.

This event is open to male fencers born in 1983 or earlier, and to female fencers born in 1987 or earlier.
You will need to have or have requested for purchase a FCA license by the 15th Aug 2023 for the current season.
You will need to provide a passport photo for use by the organisers for accreditation card, a suitable one needs to be provided to the AFF (via the AFF portal) by the 8th Aug 2023.
Whilst the AFF will be running an organised tour for this event, seeking to do so in a way which minimises the costs for the fencers involved. Fencers will be required to organise their own travel. As part of the nomination process, you will be able to select to stay in one of the official hotels which the AFF will arrange for you. If you do not wish to stay in the offered official hotel, your accommodation will be your responsibility.
All funds provided to the AFF will be reconciled against the actual costs post the tournament, with any difference either refunded or invoiced back to the fencer.
A referee levy may be charged to the AFF by the organisers based on the number of entries from Australia. This levy will be proportioned and included in the reconciliation process after the tournament.
For fencers selected for the Team events, the entry fee for the event will be proportioned for the fencers in the team and included in the reconciliation process after the tournament.
