No multiplier for Coach Designated Tour events during Olympic selection period

Under the AFF Selection Policy, a multiple of 1.5 applies to determine the points awarded for designated events which form part of a Coach Designated Tour. However, for the Olympic selection period from 3 April 2019 to 4 April 2020, the AFF High Performance Commission will not approve any designated events for open (senior) fencers. This includes all events which might form part of an open Coach Designated Tour during this period. The decision not to approve any designated events for open (senior) fencers for the period specified is consistent with past practice and provides increased certainty for athletes endeavouring to qualify for the Olympics.
