HPP Updates galore

With nearly 190 athletes signing up to be part of the 2025/26 High Performance Program, we have a number of announcements relating directly to the program itself.

Categorised Athletes List

We are excited to announce the releasing of our Categorised Athletes List for the season ahead, which have been put together by a National Categorisation Panel together with guidance and representation from the Australian Institute of Sport.

In all four athletes have been categorised as Developing or Emerging within the Athlete Development Framework, with another 28 athletes earning NSO2 or NSO1 status under the guidelines.

HPP National Training Centres

We are delighted to report that we have locked in official National Training Centres for each of our weapons, with a full schedule for the year of National Training Sessions locked in.

We are excited to be working together with Fencing Victoria to have the State Centre in Victoria become the National Training Centre for Epee and Foil.

And thanks to some fantastic collaboration with NSW Fencing, the NSW Fencing training space (former Annexe) will become the new home for National Sabre Training.

The first Sabre session will commence on Saturday 13 September, while the Epee and Foil calendar commences from Monday 22 September.

All information can be found on the official flier HERE.

AIS Camp

We have been overwhelmed with the buy-in to the program as evidenced by the fact that we have 119 athletes who will be attending the National Training Camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra from 2-5 October. More information will be sent out directly to those athletes in attendance later this week.
