EOI – National Assistant Coaches (NACs) – Epee and Foil

The Australian Fencing Federation is looking for expressions of interest from accredited Epee and Foil coaches who are interested in becoming National Assistant Coaches (NACs) as part of the 2026/27 season (August 2026 – July 2027).

Applications will close at close of business at 5pm on Friday 12 June 2026.

These roles form an important part of our High Performance Program (HPP) and are designed to assist our National Head Coaches to implement successful programs nationally within each weapon.

Specific roles of the NACs may include:

  • Conducting National Program training sessions;
  • Attending the National Training Camp as an Assistant Coach;
  • Assisting with the conducting of training camps for the National Program in your state;
  • Attending international competitions as a Tour Coach;
  • Engaging with the National Coach and assisting in delivering program and technical specific coaching requirements in your state;
  • Engaging with the High Performance Team to ensure the understanding and delivery of our HPP is filtered through to athletes in your state;
  • Helping to drive Team Culture within the sport and your weapon;
  • Creating an individualised Individual Coach Plan (ICP) to help with your pathway and development in coaching;
  • Be open to and work together with the High Performance Manager to leverage opportunities for further coaching education and ongoing professional development;
  • Other duties as required.
