Australian Fencing Federation Welcomes Tasmanian Fencing Association as an Affiliate Member
The Australian Fencing Federation (AFF) is pleased to announce that the Tasmanian Fencing Association Inc (TFA) has joined the AFF as an affiliate member, marking an important milestone in the continued growth and development of fencing throughout Australia.
As an AFF affiliate member, the TFA will now be recognised as a State Sporting Organisation by the AFF, and will now have access to national competition pathways, enabling Tasmanian fencers to participate in national events. The membership also opens the door for Tasmanian coaches and referees to obtain AFF-accredited qualifications, helping to build local capability and support the long-term development of the sport within the state.
AFF President Sam Auty said the Federation was excited to welcome Tasmania into the national fencing community.
“The Australian Fencing Federation is delighted to welcome the Tasmanian Fencing Association as an affiliate member. This is a significant step for fencing in Tasmania and reflects the growing interest and enthusiasm for our sport across the state.”
“The AFF is committed to growing fencing throughout Australia, and we look forward to working closely with the TFA to expand participation, strengthen pathways and support the next generation of Tasmanian fencers.”
TFA Vice-President Daniel Muller welcomed the membership and the opportunities it will provide for the Tasmanian fencing community.
“The Tasmanian Fencing Association is grateful for the support of the Australian Fencing Federation and excited for the opportunities that affiliation affords our members.
Affiliation with the AFF is a significant milestone in the TFA mission of supporting and developing the Tasmanian fencing community.”
The AFF looks forward to partnering with the TFA and the broader Tasmanian fencing community to foster growth in the sport and provide new opportunities for fencers across the state.
