Australian Fencing Federation Welcomes Continued Investment in Win Well and Play Well

The Australian Fencing Federation (AFF) welcomes the Australian Government’s recent investment via the Australian Sports Commission (ASC), including continued support for the AFF’s Win Well and Play Well strategies.

The funding package will support Australia’s fencing athletes as they prepare for Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032, while also supporting participation initiatives that create safe, inclusive and enjoyable fencing environments for Australians.

AFF President, Sam Auty, said the funding recognises the importance of investing in both fencing’s high performance program as well as community participation.

“The Australian Fencing Federation welcomes this continued investment in Australian fencing and the commitment to the Win Well and Play Well strategies.

“These programs support athletes, coaches and clubs while ensuring fencing grows as an accessible and inclusive sport for participants at every level.

“The investment will help sports like fencing continue developing strong pathways from grassroots participation through to international competition.”

The AFF looks forward to continuing its work with the ASC and the wider sporting community to grow fencing participation and support Australian athletes on the road to Brisbane 2032 and beyond.
