VALE: Aedyn Pratley

It is with the greatest sadness and heaviest heart that Paul, Genevieve and Tamara announce the passing of our cherished beloved son and brother, Aedyn.

Aedyn was a caring friend with a cheeky sense of humour who loved and cared for everyone around him. He fenced with Fencing Academy of Arms, Sydney Beyond Fencing Club, Sydney Uni, UTS and UNSW, having frequently represented his clubs, state and country internationally. He loved playing guitar, gaming and spending time with his friends and his cherished dog, Cinder.

Aedyn was on the home stretch of a university degree in Computer Science and Engineering at UNSW, and he was a month out of completing a graduate role at CrowdStrike in Cyber Security. He had plans to move out of home, and go travelling with his friends.

His passing was not intentional, but the tragic result of a complicated medication accident. We won’t have all the details of his passing until the investigation has concluded.

Aedyn’s favourite colour was green, and he loved wearing odd socks. You may see family or friends post a green heart in remembrance of him. 💚

We will post more details of funeral arrangements as they are organised, but we are waiting for due course to be able to plan this properly.
