Mixed bag for Aussies in Bali
A contingent of 21 athletes, three coaches, a Tour Manager and the AFF High Performance Manager have finished an encouraging campaign in Bali, Indonesia, at the 2025 Senior Asian Fencing Championships.
The event saw three days of individual competition followed by three days of teams events – with each weapon / gender having a full contingent of Australians – except for Women’s Sabre.
Our best individual results for the event included Joseph Glasson who came 10th in Men’s Foil, Jacob Crook finishing 12th in Men’s Epee and Arnav Raja grabbing 14th place in Men’s Sabre.
The mood among the group was high and the Australian Team was full of spirit, energy and togetherness throughout the week in Indonesia.
A number of the athletes competing will now be preparing for the World Uni Games coming up in July in Germany, followed by a small team travelling to Tsibilisi in Georgia for the Senior World Championships.
