Australian Fencing Federation Announces Two Exciting Career Opportunities
The Australian Fencing Federation (AFF) is delighted to announce two key vacancies within our dynamic and growing organisation. We are seeking highly motivated and passionate individuals to join our team in the following roles:
- High-Performance Manager
- National Participation Manager
Both positions are integral to the ongoing success of fencing in Australia, as we aim to foster high-level performance and grow participation in the sport across the country.
High-Performance Manager
The High-Performance Manager will lead the national high-performance program, focusing on the development of elite athletes to achieve success on the world stage. This role will work closely with athletes, coaches, and support staff to ensure Australian fencers are best prepared for international competition. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the implementation of high-performance strategies
- Supporting athlete development and performance pathways
- Managing relationships with key stakeholders, including athletes, coaches, and international bodies
- Coordinating national and international training camps, competitions, and events

National Participation Manager
The National Participation Manager will be responsible for driving grassroots engagement and increasing the overall participation in fencing across Australia. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing programs and strategies to promote participation from schools, clubs, and community groups. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing participation initiatives to grow the sport at all levels
- Collaborating with state associations, clubs, and schools to deliver engaging fencing programs
- Increasing diversity and inclusion within the sport by targeting underrepresented communities
- Supporting coach education and training opportunities
