2018 Veteran Commonwealths – reopened

The AFF is pleased to advise you that entries have reopened for fencers who wish to represent Australia at the 2018 Commonwealth Veteran Fencing Championships (CFC18), to be held in Canberra from 23 to 28 November 2018. Please note that nominations at this time are not eligible for team selection.

Please read the following information carefully and contact the AFF at operations@fencing.org.au if you have any queries.

Individual events

For the Veterans individual events (40+ & upwards), there is no restriction on the number of Australian fencers who may enter and therefore you do not have to go through a selection process.

If you would like to enter the individual event and see which other Australian fencers have already entered, please click here. Entries close on 17 September 2018.

Fencers should note that:

* The entry fee of $250 per weapon has been set by the competition organisers and includes a referee levy of $100.
* The Commonwealth Fencing Federation required that all fencers hold an FIE licence (for either the 2017/18 or the 2018/19 season) to participate in this event. To order an FIE licence, click hereThe registration system has been set up to prevent you from entering until you have obtained an FIE licence.
* To minimise the costs for competing fencers, the AFF will not be appointing a team manager and coaches for Veteran events.
