All AFF National tournaments have podium presentations (medal ceremonies).  All athletes are expected to present themselves appropriately for these presentations and respect the importance of winning a medal at a National sporting event.

Unacceptable presentation attire includes Club tracksuits at National events, Australian Fencing Team uniforms, Olympic track suits, or generic tracksuits.  Any exceptions (including those where an athlete wishes to wear a sponsor's promotional attire) must first be discussed with the Directoire Technique, who must have given their explicit permission prior to the presentation ceremony.

State-representative events

(Australian Fencing Circuit events and National Championships)

State tracksuit or uniform

(National tracksuit for international competitors)

Club-representative events

(AFC3 only)

Club or (if not available) state tracksuit or uniform

School-representative events

School or (if not available) state tracksuit or uniform

In all cases the lower body should be clad in tracksuit pants and sports shoes.

In the absence of an appropriate tracksuit, the athlete must gain permission from a relevant official (state/club/school) or the Directoire Technique if there are none present, to wear something other than the standard dress. Acceptable alternatives are full fencing whites or an Australian Fencing Federation tracksuit.

The following presentation attire is not acceptable:

  • club tracksuits at national events
  • Australian Fencing Team uniforms
  • Olympic track suits
  • generic tracksuits

Any exceptions (including those where an athlete wishes to wear a sponsor's promotional attire) must first be discussed with the Directoire Technique, who must have given their explicit permission prior to the presentation ceremony.
