REQUIRED SAFEGUARDING & ACCREDITATION CRITERIA

To receive an AFF Media Pass, you must:

• Hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Complete the Sport Integrity Australia Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction.
• Agree to be bound by and comply with the AFF National Integrity Framework, AFF Code of Conduct and Conditions of Entry.

SAFEGUARDING RULES – MANDATORY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I acknowledge and agree that:

• I will only photograph or film children and young people where expressed parental/carer consent has been granted
• no images of children/young people are to be taken:
  • Without the prior consent of the child and their parent/carer
  • In change rooms, bathrooms, first aid or treatment areas
  • When children are unsupervised or visibly distressed
• I will clearly display my AFF Media Accreditation pass while working
• I will follow directions from AFF Officers, Officials and Event Managers
• I will not take or share any images that may be considered inappropriate, invasive or potentially misused
• I will avoid posting images with identifying personal information (name, school, location, etc.)
• I understand that:
  • All official images must be stored securely and deleted when no longer required
  • I may be asked to provide access to images for AFF review or monitoring
  • I may be removed from the venue or referred to authorities if I breach these standards

USE OF IMAGES – CONSENT CONDITIONS

I understand and agree that:

• All images taken must be related to fencing participation and used for legitimate sporting purposes
• If a child or young person withdraws consent, I will respect their request and delete the image
• I must comply with any AFF-issued visual identifiers (e.g., wristbands for "no photos")
• I may not use event images for commercial purposes without AFF’s written permission

DECLARATION

I confirm that the information provided is accurate and I agree to abide by the above conditions and to be bound by the AFF Code of Conduct, AFF National Integrity Framework, AFF Social Media Policy, AFF Privacy Policy and all AFF-related Policies and Child Safeguarding laws.

I understand that a breach of any of these policies and/or laws may result in cancellation of my accreditation, removal from the venue, or legal referral.
