Sydney is Australia’s major international airport.

We suggest that you book early as flights to Sydney are popular. Remember that a visa may
be required.

Visa Assistance

If you still require an invitation for visa assistance, please immediately contact Event Director and provide: Federation name and contact person + Full names, passport number, expiry date, date of birth, city of birth, city of residence, for all delegation members requiring visas.

Australian Immigration advises that you will be eligible to apply for a visa subclass 421 Sporting, or subclass 456 Business Short Stay. A 421 visa is usually free of charge but may take several weeks to issue. Apply early.

Airport Transfers

The Sydney Olympic Park (SOP) Venue is just 14km from the airport and accessible by Taxi or Train. The airport train is direct from the airport to the hotel changing at Sydney’s Central station.

Transport to Sydney Olympic Park

If you are not staying at the event Hotels, a short walk to the event venue, you are reminded that Sydney Olympic Park is a busy sporting complex. Please allow ample time to travel to the venue for your event.
