The Australian Fencing Federation is pleased to extend an invitation to members of the Commonwealth Fencing Federation and the Commonwealth Veterans' Fencing Association to participate in the Commonwealth Veterans' Fencing Championships 2003.

Eligibility

Competitors must be at least 40 years of age, as at the date of the competition.

The age categories for the event are: 40+, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Program

CV2003 consists of team and individual events - Foil, Epee and Sabre for men and women.

Individual

Each individual event is fenced as a single competition, across all age categories.

The Commonwealth Veterans' Champion is the winner of D/E final (no matter which age group they belong to).

In addition, there are individual winners for each of the 50+ categories:

  • 50+ winner is a barrage between the two highest placed 50+ in the final (and or poule)
  • 60+ winner is a barrage between the two highest placed 60+ in the final (and or poule)
  • 70+ winner is a barrage between the two highest placed 70+ in the final (and or poule)

Team

Team events are conducted by relay formula.

The aggregate age of the team "on piste" must at all times be at least 150 years.
