COVID-19 venue restrictions

The following guidelines and restrictions are mandated by the Queensland Government.

  • No spectators allowed in the hall but approved to be outside the venue
  • Face masks not currently required but are recommended, especially in public places
  • Limited space to 2m2 per person
  • A scannable QR code app will be required for all entering the premises. The Queensland Government check-in app can be downloaded here.
  • COVID officers from QFA will be checking temperatures at entrance to the venue
  • COVID posters for regulations will be placed throughout the venue, including but not limited to: statement of compliance, entrance/exit, distance maintenance stickers on the floor that QFA will adhere to
  • One way direction entrance will be different to the route used to exit
  • Hand hygiene stations throughout the venue
  • Wipes for equipment

Registrations open:  March 11, 2021
Standard registrations close:  April 17, 2021

Registrations are generally accepted after the close of standard registrations however late fees apply.

COVID-19 competition policy:

While sporting events and interstate travel will continue to be affected by public health directives for the foreseeable future, the AFF has implemented a COVID-19 competition policy.

Fees and charges:

Note, some states may add a state levy to cover team management and other state-related costs. These levies are in addition to AFF tournament charges and are collected at the time of registration. Please check your state association website for more information.

AFC 1-4 Open / U23 / Veteran$100Competitors can choose to pay additional $80 to opt out of refereeing obligations.
National Championships Open and Veteran$110Competitors can choose to pay additional $90 to opt out of refereeing obligations.
Veterans second weapon$25

U15 / Cadet / Junior Championships$130Where fencers compete in three weapons in same age group, 3rd weapon is $80.
National School Individual Championships$95Competing in 2nd and 3rd weapon - $70 each.
