The Australian Fencing Federation (hereafter "AFF") has a firm commitment to privacy in accordance with the Guidelines for Federal and ACT Government World Wide Web Sites issued by the Australian Privacy Commissioner.
As a general rule, the AFF does not collect personal information about you when you visit the site. You can generally visit the site without revealing personal information, unless you choose to provide such information.
If submitting personal details, or other information over the Internet which you wish to remain private, please note that, while all reasonable attempts are made to secure information transmitted to this website, there is a possibility that information you submit could be observed by a third party in transit.
The information received by the site depends upon what you do when visiting the site.
Database Data
The website contains the AFF Membership Database (hereafter "Database"). The Database records the contact details of members of the AFF, affiliated state associations and associated clubs. Access to this database is restricted to authorised users only.
The Database retains the following information about AFF members and former members:
- Full Name
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Current Address
- Contact Telephone Numbers
- Email Address
- State Affiliation
- Membership Details
- Positions held within the AFF
- Qualifications (Coaching, Refereeing etc.)
- FIE Licence Details
The Database does not contain information about persons who are not and have not been members or affiliates of the AFF.
Access to these details will be restricted as follows:

The information provided to the AFF will only be used for the purpose of administering the sport of fencing within Australia and Australian fencing overseas. Your details will not be provided to third party organisations or individuals without your express permission.
Site visit data
The web server makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes:

- the name of the top-level domain from which you access the Internet (for example, .gov, .com, .au, .nz, etc.);
- date and time of the visit to the site;
- the pages accessed and documents downloaded;

The AFF will not disclose your email address to any third party without consent, nor will it use it for any purpose not pertaining to the administration of fencing.
Cookies

The AFF web server generates a cookie which is used to keep track of the pages you have accessed while using our server.
