Preferred travel agent
for the AFF

The AFF is pleased to provide information about the selection process for the Australian team to compete at the 2018 Commonwealth Senior and Veteran Fencing Championships (CFC18), to be held in Canberra in November.

For the Senior (Open) individual and team events, there are 5 places available in each gender and weapon category. For the Veterans individual event (40+), there is no restriction on the number of fencers who may enter the individual event. For the Veterans team event, there are 4 places available in each gender and weapon category (with no restrictions as to age).

Nominations for the Senior (individual and team) and the Veterans (team only) will close in mid-August 2018, after AFC#3 (to be held in Perth from 9 to 12 August 2018). The nomination period will open approximately 2 weeks prior and will be advertised on the AFF website.

Fencers will be selected based on ranking as at the nominations closing date and in accordance with the provisions of the AFF Selection Policy. CFC18 is a Level E competition for the purposes of the Selection Policy and therefore section A4.25 applies.
