Elite Athlete Pathways

The attached paper has been approved by the Australian Fencing Federation (AFF) as the sport’s best advice to young Australian fencers seeking to develop their skills and talents with the aim of achieving international representation and success.

Athlete Support & Scholarships at University

The Elite Athlete Friendly University (EAFU) Network has been established to identify and promote universities who have responded to the specific needs of elite student athletes by developing new, or promoting existing policies and practices which assist elite student athletes to undertake sporting opportunities whilst pursuing and achieving academic excellence.  Typically, EAFU support can take the form of flexible study and assessment assistance, cross-institutional support, and (in some cases) financial assistances and grants.  Specific information, along with EAFU member University links, can be found here: http://www.ausport.gov.au/ais/athlete_career_and_education/university_network.

Athlete Support via Sponsorships

The AFF also presents below some documentation regarding sponsorship (note that the AFF also has a Policy regarding sponsorship - this can be found on this website under the Documents and Policies menu).  The template provided is designed at assist athletes.
